Would you like to tell us something about the power of the cross?

The sign of the cross is the greatest power that we Christians have,

but it is also the only symbol that scares and frightens Satan very

much. I will tell you a story and you will understand

for yourself how great the power of the cross is.

I was recently reading in a book that in the early Christian era,

a great persecution against Christians began in some place.

One of the first to be arrested was a pious despot.

They subjected him to some tortures and in the end, to expose him that

the cross has no power, they gave him a glass full of potent

poison. They gave it to him to drink and told him

to drink it and if nothing happens to you, then your faith is true.

But a Jew who was there, who had denounced this despot

that he was a Christian in order to kill him,

what did he do? He said to the commander, don't let him make the cross because then they will

be witches and nothing will happen. The despot

The despot took the glass. He was upset that he wouldn't let him make the sign of the

cross because he knew what power the sign of the cross had and then listen to what

died. Everyone understood how great the

power of the cross is, and it is indeed very great power. That's why all

Christians knew that their power in all evils and in the torment that

Satan did to them was the sign of the cross. That's why when they ate, before

they ate, before they drank, before they did anything, they made the sign of the cross and

those they crucified. But correctly. Not like us who do it as a cell.

See how we do it. Like this. Well, all Christians still

made the sign of the cross in all forms,

in all the actions of their lives. Something that we forget today, however,

this is our strength. This scares Satan. All our saints,

how they fought Satan with the sign of the honor and life-giving cross.

I was also reading another story about Saint George, when the Magus Athanasius

gave him a very potent poison at the emperor's command for

George to drink, Saint George, in order to die. He said it, made the

sign of the cross, but he did not suffer anything. But we also need to have

faith in our Christ, to have faith in the cross, because our faith is

what activates its power. Therefore, I would simply like to advise

all of you to make the sign of the cross many times before you eat and

before you drink and before you do anything. That was the power of the cross on

your soul. But do not forget to wear the cross of Christ

in front of our chest. We all must have a cross to wear. This

is the confession of our faith in our Christ. This is what will scare

Satan.
