“Do you know, my child, why Christ blessed the Greeks and Greece?”
the Elder of Agrafa, our beloved old father, Fr. Panagiotis, asked me one day.
His question surprised me. I knew that something important would follow, so I remained silent.
“The great blessing we received we owe to the holy young man and our king, the pride of Macedonia and of Greece, Alexander the Great. He was not only a king, but also humble and an example of piety. He was an ornament of virtue. He ploughed the little field upon which our Christ later sowed the seeds of salvation. His teacher had imbued him with all those beautiful teachings that open the road toward God. Our king Alexander was—and still is—a vessel of grace.
He now leads the spiritual forces that will liberate the Queen of Cities, Constantinople, and will hand it over to the holy king, John Vatatzes. He will lift Greece out of the mire of unrepentance and will bring about the long-desired unity, which repentance secures.”
I thought to myself that the elder had somehow confused things, as I listened to what he was telling us. Suddenly he interrupted my thoughts and said:
“Some think I have lost my mind and become confused. You see, these things were not taught to them in their schools. They were not told, for example, that this holy young man was not a conqueror but a civilizer of nations. He introduced them to the greatness of the Greek language—the language of the Angels, the language of Heaven. He brought them civilization.
And do you know why Christ took him close to Him at the flower of his age? Because He wanted to keep him undefiled and pure, to protect him from corrupt paths and Babylonian debaucheries. After all, he had completed the work that God had entrusted to him. When God allows it and the tomb of King Alexander is revealed, you will see that the whole place will emit fragrance. And fragrance is a sign of holiness, is it not, theologian?”
“Yes, Elder,” I replied.
“King Alexander is buried in Greece. And his tomb will be revealed when the Greeks manage to break the bonds of slavery. For today we are tied to the pumpkin of the Devil, immersed in passions and sin.”
“Some claim that he was buried in Egypt…”
“In Egypt there was a symbolic burial; the real one took place in Greece. In those days, dead kings were buried with gold and other precious metals and stones, because the poor souls believed that wealth would also be useful in the afterlife. Somewhere in Macedonia lies the tomb of Alexander the Great, and the gold—but it was taken from there and transferred to a secure place, to one of the blessed mountains of Greece.
This gold will be used by the holy king John Vatatzes when he takes the reins of Constantinople. God has a plan. Do you hear me, theologian? God has a plan, and we simply must follow it and not insist on persuading Christ to accept our own plans. We must have absolute trust in His Providence.”
When two couples and a police officer who had been listening to the strange accounts left, the elder pulled me aside and said:
“Theologian, do not doubt the above. Alexander the Great is at the forefront and leads the spiritual forces that will take the City. Believe, and God will deem you worthy to partake of Holy Communion in our Great Church, Hagia Sophia.
The holiness of Alexander the Great is known to the Adversary. That is why he has unleashed all his instruments, domestic and foreign, to slander him—at times as perverse, at times as a murderer, a killer, a conquering tyrant.
In order to tarnish his memory and his work, he moved the Vatican to establish a falsely named multicultural state and call it Macedonia. This is why the Pope hurried to be the first to recognize the Slavic statelet, giving the signal to others to do the same. But the day is drawing near when Skopje will be dissolved, no matter how much some pseudo-politicians of ours and foreigners wish to support it…”

«Великую благодать, которую мы получили, мы обязаны святому юноше и нашему царю, гордости Македонии и Греции — Александру Великому. Он был не только царём, но и смиренным человеком и примером благочестия. Он был украшением добродетели.

«Да, старец», — ответил я.
«Царь Александр погребён в Греции. И его гробница будет открыта тогда, когда греки сумеют разорвать узы рабства. Ибо сегодня мы связаны тыквой дьявола, погружены в страсти и грех».

«В Египте было символическое погребение, а настоящее — в Греции. В те времена умерших царей хоронили с золотом и другими драгоценными металлами и камнями, потому что, бедняги, верили, что богатство понадобится и в загробной жизни. Где-то в Македонии находится гробница Александра Великого и золото, но его забрали оттуда и перенесли в безопасное место — в одно из благословенных гор Греции.

Святость Александра Великого известна Противнику. Поэтому он привёл в действие все свои орудия — местные и зарубежные, — чтобы оклеветать его: то как извращённого, то как убийцу, кровавого завоевателя.
Чтобы очернить его память и дело, он побудил Ватикан создать ложно названное мультикультурное государство и назвать его Македонией.
