Saint Paisios: “The Greek army will be victorious. The battlefield will be Palestine, and the Dead Sea will be their grave.”
A group of pilgrims agreed among themselves to ask the Elder to speak to them about Constantinople.

Elder: What do you say, shall we take the City?

After these events, mankind will reach an impasse, and then everyone will seek to learn about the Gospel and the Scriptures.
Christ will have mercy on the world and will show a sign so that people will believe.
Then one will have to search hard to find an unbeliever.
Dimitrios: Elder, the hymn of the Prophet Elijah says that he is the second forerunner of Christ’s Second Coming. As is known, he did not die, nor did Enoch. Will the Prophet Elijah come to earth?
Elder (smiling): The Prophet Elijah is sharpening and preparing his sword! And, in fact, he will begin first with the Patriarchs, bishops, priests and monks!

(The Turks will leave, but they will return again and reach as far as the six-mile point. In the end they will be driven back as far as the Red Apple. Of the Turks, one-third will be killed, another third will be baptized, and only the remaining third will go to the Red Apple.)
No one has been able to explain it; everyone interprets it incorrectly. There are places called “Examilia” in Lagadas, Kilkis, Thrace and Corinth, but no one knows that what he is referring to is the six-mile limit of the territorial waters.

And they shall not take wood from the field, nor cut down any from the forests, but they shall burn the weapons with fire…”)

Elder:
A pious Jordanian told me that the Jews have dug a tunnel underneath the Temple of Omar, many meters deep, and they want to destroy the temple in order to build Solomon’s Temple, because, they say, then their messiah will come—that is, the Antichrist.
